YouthCanDo was founded by a high school student, David Yang, who believed that learning should never be limited by age, background, or circumstance.

While preparing for advanced academic work himself, David noticed that many individuals seeking to join the U.S. military struggled not because of motivation — but because they lacked access to academic support and encouragement.

He believed that young people, when trusted with real responsibility, could make a real difference. From that belief, YouthCanDo was born in December 2024.

Today, YouthCanDo continues to grow as students and service members learn, teach, and support one another — together.
