Why Volunteer with YouthCanDo?

Qualified volunteers may also have opportunities for scholarships supported by YouthCanDo funds.
Training, Support & Safety
YouthCanDo provides:

ASVAB learning materials
-
study guidance
-
access to an ASVAB mock exam

tutor training and mentorship

Before tutoring independently, all volunteers:

complete training
-
score 80 or above on the ASVAB mock exam

shadow an experienced YouthCanDo tutor
For safety reasons, tutoring is primarily conducted virtually, as many of our tutors are high school students.
Open to All Who Wish to Serve
While YouthCanDo was created primarily to support high school students, individuals of any age who believe they can contribute and are willing to learn are welcome to apply.
All volunteers follow the same training and review process to ensure quality, safety, and consistency.
